Trac Porth Meudwy

The project involves renovating a section of access track (which is a statutory byway) from the Cwrt area, Aberdaron to Porth Meudwy. Porth Meudwy is a special historical port which contributes to the history and culture of the area. It is used by fishermen and as an embarkation point for trips to Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island). Due to recent wet winters, parts of the track leading to Porth Meudwy have subsided closing the byway. Work has previously been done to repair the track – and a grant was received from the Welsh Government for that purpose. Unfortunately another landslide occurred recently which has affected the track and the intention is to employ a specialist company to repair that section of the track.
