SDF Climate Change

In June 2020, the National Park Authority Committee took the decision to change the focus of the Sustainable Development Fund (SDF). The Fund now supports community-led projects that contribute towards a reduction in carbon and help respond to the climate emergency. Since this change in focus there has been a high demand for financial support to implement community decarbonisation projects. In order to meet this demand we are seeking additional funding to enable not-for-profit organisations in Pembrokeshire to develop their own decarbonisation initiatives, by offering grants and support through the SDF scheme.
Communities are best placed to know what works well and how they can build resilience. Examples of funded projects could be greening community buildings and village halls, waste reduction and community recycling initiatives, planting and growing for carbon capture.
