Tegryn Jones

Chair

Tegryn Jones is the Chief Executive of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority. Originally from Lampeter in Ceredigion, he lives in Llangwm, Pembrokeshire. He holds a degree in Geography from Aberystwyth University, an MBA from the Open University, and postgraduate qualifications from the Institute of Education, London and Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

He has worked for Keep Wales Tidy, the General Teaching Council for Wales, Swansea University, Urdd Gobaith Cymru, and as a teacher at Llanidloes High School.

Amongst a number of voluntary roles he has been a trustee of the Youth Hostel Association, the DPJ Foundation, a charity supporting farmers with mental health issues, and UNA Exchange, a charity supporting young people to engage in international exchanges. He has also been Chair of the Governing Body of Ysgol Caer Elen, a Welsh-medium school for ages 3-16 in Haverfordwest, a member of Glas Cymru, the Education Broadcasting Council of Wales and Vice Chair of the Organising Committee of Eisteddfod y Garreg Las. He was a member of the panel that conducted a Tailored Review of Amgueddfa Cymru during 2022-23 and has been Chair of the Pembrokeshire Public Services Board.

Tegryn is currently a member of the Welsh Language Partnership Council, a Director of National Parks Partnership and an Associate Member of Hywel Dda University.

Alun Owen is the Countryside and National Landscape Officer for the Isle of Anglesey Council.

Ruth Lovell

Manager

Ruth is the Manager of Tirweddau Cymru Landscapes Wales.

Ruth has worked in the field of environmental policy and communications for over twenty years, including positions with Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum, PLANED, Cardiff University, RSPB Cymru and the National Trust. Ruth has a degree in Ecology and Environmental Management (BSc) from Cardiff University and holds a Professional PR Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

She has worked in practical conservation roles, setting up community environmental projects in Wales, and international conservation projects in Senegal, Kenya, Tanzania and Greenland.

Away from the office Ruth loves exploring the Wales Coast Path, running, swimming and yoga, and is a Voluntary Director of Community Energy Pembrokeshire.

Elinor Roberts

Administrative Officer

Elinor is the Administrative Officer for Tirweddau Cymru Landscapes Wales.

She has over 10 years’ experience working in administrative roles, mainly in the agricultural industry, with positions at NFU Mutual and Pembrokeshire Machinery Ring.

Elinor is a graduate of Aberystwyth University with a BSc in Biology. She has been involved with her local Young Farmers Club for over 20 years and was instrumental in securing grants for a new community hall for the club. She is also the membership secretary for the North Pembrokeshire Farmers’ Club.

Elinor spends the majority of her spare time running after her two young children, and also enjoys baking, reading and walking.

Anna Jones

Inclusion, Diversity and Governance Excellence Strategic Lead

Anna is the Inclusion, Diversity and Governance Excellence Strategic Lead and believes passionately that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of our special Landscapes, that’s why we’re committed to putting diversity and inclusion at the heart of our Landscape family – so that anyone who volunteers, visits, or works for our Landscapes has a safe, welcoming and equally positive experience.

Anna has a legal and policy background with extensive experience in Pembrokeshire grassroots community engagement and local government work, having worked within the third sector and the town and community council sphere, with a particular focus on sustainable initiatives and engaging with our underserved communities. She has worked as an Advisory Board member for a global travel and tourism company advising on inclusion and sustainability and has a real passion for connecting people with Welsh culture, nature, and our landscapes.

Lawrence Harris

Nature Recovery Programme manager

Lawrence manages the Farming in Designated Landscapes: Ffermio Bro programme, working across the Designated Landscapes to enable farmers and landowners to deliver better outcomes for nature, for visitors and for local communities.

Lawrence has held roles at Plantlife and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, where he worked to deliver on-the-ground conservation projects across Wales. These included the Plantlife Resilient Grasslands project and Wales’ flagship Natur am Byth species recovery programme.

Prior to embarking on his conservation career he spent 10 years in business in a number of project leadership and management roles, advising large global organisations on a range of issues including those relating to the environment, society and governance. Lawrence studied Mathematics at University College London and Theoretical Physics as a postgraduate at Kings College London.

Sara Wynne Pari

Nature Recovery Advisor

As the Nature Recovery Advisor, Sara will support Wales’ Designated Landscapes to drive meaningful action toward the global 30×30 biodiversity goal. A passionate nature advocate, she is excited to return to her roots working with Designated Landscapes.

Sara began her career as a project officer with the Llyn Peninsula AONB before managing the CAE Sustainable Development Fund at Eryri National Park Authority. A first-language Welsh speaker, she has over 20 years of experience in Wales’ environmental sector, providing funding and development support through the Environment Wales Scheme, Llais y Goedwig and Social Farms & Gardens. More recently, she led the Nature Wise ecoliteracy programme and created bespoke biodiversity training, eLearning and workshops at Cynnal Cymru.

Sara is nearing completion of her IEMA-accredited MSc in Environmental and Business Management at Bangor University and with any spare time, you will find her swimming or exploring the beautiful mountains and coast of North Wales.
