TIRLUN – new bilingual learning portal

Educators have been asked to take a glimpse at the new and exciting bilingual designated landscapes learning portal.

The Tirlun portal is packed with engaging activities suitable for learners to use in school and local areas.

Engaging cross-curricular activities: 12 brand new curriculum-aligned activities, including interactive presentations. Activities are cross-curricular in nature and involve multiple Areas of Learning and Experiences (AoLEs).

Curriculum embedded outdoor learning activities: A unique wrap around model to ensure ease of use within a school curriculum and to provide learners with opportunities to develop integral skills within the four purposes.

Ready-to-use resources: Detailed teacher notes, useful links, and coverage charts, all designed to transform your schools’ outdoor learning curriculum. The Tirlun portal caters to learners learning within progression steps 3 and 4.

Information about the Designated Landscapes of Wales: Maps and information to explain the Designated Landscapes of Wales and their special qualities.

Tried and tested activities: Tirlun has been developed and co-produced with schools and learners across Wales.

More activities are currently being developed for all of Wales’ Designated Landscapes, to provide further opportunities for learning and to take learners from your school and into your local area and Designated Landscapes of Wales.

Please share your experiences of using the portal. If you would like to get in touch email us at tirlun@pembrokeshirecoast.org.uk
